Well, we managed to dodge the storms once again, as the last group finished up just as we started to see lightning flashes to our south and west.  Despite the mugginess of the day, there was plenty of good scoring out there as the top 3 gross scores were all sub-40.  Seems like some people are making good use of their “down” time, and getting some extra golf in perhaps?  Handicaps are adjusting a bit, with week #1 having had a few players’ handicaps drop, week #2 has a few other players’ handicaps go up a stoke or even 2.  Things should start to settle down in a couple of weeks.

Continuing the veteran hacker performance streak, Tommy was the top winner, handing Sue her 1st loss of the season 7 ½-1 ½.  What say you Sue?  With friends like that…? 😊

Dan was next up with a 6-3 win over Bob, who put on a strong finish to prevent a run-away.

Mark was next, while playing in unfamiliar territory in the last group, taking down Steve Fusco 5 ½-3 ½ . Steve had gotten off to a strong start, but Mark called on his inner closer to take the last 4 holes for the win!

Our final winner on the night was Tim, winning at the final to break the 4-4 tie again Jim.  Both were playing well, with each of them scoring a birdie during the round, with Tim’s ending a drought lasting back to 2018.  Nice round gents!

The remaining 4 matches all ended with ties, with 2 of them actually splitting the bonus point as well.  Great matches all!

Tales from the noodle….

The only noodle notes I have are regarding the misses.  There were far too many of them.  That noodle apparently does NOT make the hole any bigger!

Dan and Tom led the way tonight, both shooting net 30s.  Unfortunately for Tom, his handicap dropping 2 strokes this week may make it a little harder next week.  We shall see 😉
