Can’t say enough good things about the weather. Started out with a healthy wind-speed, but, finished with just a bit of a breeze.
Tonight, it was the night of the retired Exec Comp guys, aka: “The Lefties”. Starting it off was Dave, with an impressive 6-under-net round, resulting in an 8-1 win over Mike F. Mike, there’s not much any of us could’ve done against a round like that, you just drew the short straw this week. Shake it off!
Marty was seeing this nine for the first time this season, (in league play anyway), but that didn’t stop him from running up a big point total against Joe, starting out with a birdie at the first hole, and ending the match with a 7-2 win. Well done Marty!
Three matches went to 6-3, as Tom, Dan R., and Brian prevailed over Jim, Bob and Mike M., respectively. Mike (who was also seeing this nine for the first time) managed to get the match to all square at the halfway point, but, couldn’t gain any headway down the stretch, leading to the win for Brian. The same was true with the Dan/Bob matchup, as Bob too, was able to get to all square at the halfway point, but, couldn’t muster any momentum against Dan. Jim appeared to have struggled a bit down the stretch as well, as Tom took 3 of the last 4 holes to seal the win.
The 3rd player seeing this nine for the first time was Mark, matching cards against Brian. Shooting 1-over net to Brian’s 1-under, Mark could only manage 3 ½ points. Nice use of strokes Brian!
Finally, in the only match with both players shooting below their handicaps, Tim and Andy ended in a tie. Andy needed a pair of birdies down the stretch in order to erase a 2-hole deficit, and limp to the end for the tie. Nice match Tim!
Despite the loss, Mark still has his “no-other” going. How long can he keep it up? Odds-makers are crunching the numbers 😊
An injured Bette, sitting out for a week or two, held on to the #1 spot. Dave and Marty moved out of their 5th place tie, to move into 2nd and 3rd, respectively. While Jim fell from 2nd into solo 5th. Tom remained in the #4 spot, and Mike F fell out of the top 5 falling from 3rd to T8
Sitting out this week, Gloria fell out of first place here, swapping spots with Dave who was in 2nd place. Jim fell from 3rd place as Andy moved up 1 spot from 4th, followed by Marty climbing from 7th to 4th. Mike F. fell out of the top 5, dropping slightly to 6th place.

Virtual Team Competition
With one more week to go to determine the 1st half champion team, Jim and Pete have moved into 1st place, knocking Marty and Bette into 2nd. Dan and Sue remain in 3rd place, while Mark and Dave have broken out of the 4th place tie with Brian and Gloria, to move into solo 4th place.
We had four birdies tonight.

Andy wrested the win away from Mark, this time with a little more
accuracy his prior wins. Sorry Mark!
