Mid-Season Event
Game re-cap:
Friday’s event was a 5-club challenge, with 2-player teams. Each player played their own ball. The team score on a hole was from the player with the lower NET score on the hole. Lowest team score wins.
To start us off, the teams of Gloria and Dan Palmerino, and Matt and Dan Richardson, both finished with NET scores of 29. The winning team of Matt and Dan Richardson was determined in the 1st tie-breaker test of most NET EAGLES, as they had 2 to Gloria’s and Dan Palmerino’s 1. Kudos to both teams for great scores.
The next closest teams of Dave and Brian, and Pete and Andy, both came in with NET scores of 32. The tie-breaker here was a bit more extensive, as neither team had an eagle, and they both had the exact same number of birdies, pars and bogeys. The final determinant came down to the team with the lowest net score on the hardest hole on the course, #15. With a NET birdie, the team of Dave and Brian prevailed to take 3rd place honors!

As can be seen HERE in the scorecards, every player either contributed, or co-contributed at least 3 holes to their respective team’s hole scores, and every player fully contributed at least 2 scores to their team. Great teamwork everyone!
Once again, it seems that too many clubs may be detrimental to one’s game, as 8 players shot GROSS scores that were better than their average scores for the back 9. 3 players were just 1 or 3 strokes worse, and 1 player shot exactly the same (Brian, maybe try playing with just 1 club next time, see what happens 😊)
